Submit an observation

Your photos and videos help us map where the spilled pellets have reached. It takes about five minutes. You don't need to give your name or email.

1. Your photos and videos
Photos or videos Up to 5 files, each up to 250 MB. JPEG, PNG, HEIC, MP4 or MOV. A coin or your hand in the frame helps us judge the size of the pellets. Please send the original files straight from your camera or phone, not screenshots or copies from messaging apps, which lose the date and location.

    2. When and where
    Be as specific as you can, for example "slipway below the Fish Quay, North Shields" or "south bank opposite Newburn bridge".
    Exact location (optional) If you're at the spot now, you can share your device's location. We only use it for this observation.

    Your photos and videos also record when and where they were taken. We keep that information: see section 5.
